LRC's New Year's Eve Banquet

What a great time we had on New Year’s Eve!

LRC's first New Year's Eve Banquet ...

I can't say how appreciative I am for all the wonderful people who made the evening happen. Organizing, setting up and tearing down, behind the scenes preparation and prayer made the banquet such a good time. Thank you.

We had a great meal, catered by The Black Angus; with many of our own people topping it off with great salads and deserts.

The fellowship and enjoyment that people seemed to experience during the evening was tangible. It was a true joy to be a part of this event. The picture below gives a snapshot but there are plenty more on our Events Gallery page. (if you were present and have some pictures you'd like to submit please email them to info@livingrockchurch.ca ~ thank you)

Following the fellowship meal we experienced some great music led by Dave MacPherson and One With Him. Worship was wonderful as we sang together raising our voices to lift up our great God. The Spirit of God was present and tangible.

Following the meal, we also took a brief look at the promise of God found in Jeremiah 29:11 and were reminded that God has plans to bring hope and a good future to our families. We can have faith that He will see us through the tough times and bring us to the place where we will experience His promises in real time.

Pastor Charles Swartwood shared a little on how God seems to be doing a great thing in our world today ~ shaking things up so people can experience a great spiritual awakening. He helped close our time together with a powerful prayer asking the Lord to stir us up and bring this spiritual awakening to our own hearts and to our own communities.

As we said a fond farewell to 2016 and embraced 2017, we do so with faith, hope and expectation of a great spiritual awakening. We do believe God and His promises of good plans, hope and a good future for His people. We do believe that the families of St. Marys and surrounding communities will experience His faithfulness and goodness. We do believe this for your family, your town and your life.

This Sunday coming (January 8th) we will be our first worship gathering for 2017. We are meeting in the 2/3 hall at the PRC (one room over from where we normally meet) I am looking forward to sharing this time with you.

I am looking forward to seeing you there! We have special guest music ministry with One With Him leading our worship time. Please feel free to invite friends and family to join … it will be a glorious time.
